Hama Makino is an expert in impact finance and gender finance with over 20 years of global experience in the financial industry, including roles on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs. Her work centers on women’s economic empowerment, advancing inclusive financial strategies through microfinance, ESG initiatives, and the adoption of 2X certification standards. Hama has an extensive track record with leading development finance institutions and investment organizations, including the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, Triple Jump, IFC, and Deutsche Bank. Hama holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University.

Jenny has over 25 years of experience in investing and venture building across the public and private sectors in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.inable finance and alternative investments globally.

She has a strong track record in mobilizing capital at scale into developing economies through equity, debt, guarantees, and blended finance structures.

Her investment expertise spans infrastructure, energy, chemicals, ICT, steel, cement, consumer goods, and logistics, collaborating with technology providers, insurers, and legal experts to deliver integrated solutions. She also provides thought leadership and capacity building to public and private institutions focused on sustainable investments in developing markets.

Previously, Jenny held leadership and investment roles at GuarantCo and Standard Chartered, working across Asia, the UK, and Dubai.

With over 22 years of private equity and private debt investing/advisory experience, including 15 years dedicated to impact investing, Yoshiko has a deep track record in sustainable finance and alternative investments globally.

Yoshiko founded an infrastructure-focused financial institution in Indonesia with the local government, played a key role in a blended finance fund setup, and established and managed a global microfinance fund.

Most recently, she was the Global Head of ESG/Impact for all Alternatives products at DWS (Deutsche Asset Management), shaping the firm’s sustainability strategy across private markets. Her experience includes leadership and investment roles at DWS, IFC, and Nikko Citigroup.

Yoshiko holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA from Keio University.

A seasoned CSO and ESG expert, Catriona brings over 30 years of experience in sustainability and responsible investing, driving value creation through sustainability integration.

She is the Founder and Director of Paterson Sustainability and serves as an ESG specialist at IFC, advising on sustainable investment strategies.

Her work spans mentoring and training sustainability professionals and providing technical guidance for investment projects and funds across Europe and Asia.

Catriona is a recognized leader in enhancing value through sustainability, helping investors and businesses align with long-term impact and financial performance.

With over 15 years of extensive experience in private equity investing, Yoko has a strong track record in value creation and hands-on investment strategies.

She played a key role in establishing an independent private equity fund in Japan and has led value-up investments both domestically and globally. Her expertise spans strategic growth initiatives, operational improvements, and portfolio management.

Previously, she held senior investment positions at Phronesis, Advantage Partners, and other leading investment firms.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Japan and the US, Yoko holds a BA from Keio University.

A recognized impact leader in Japan and globally, Mari has a distinguished career driving sustainability, diversity, and social impact initiatives across sectors.

She is the Co-Founder and CEO of SDG Impact Japan and serves as an independent Audit & Supervisory Member for Mitsubishi Corporation.

Previously, she was Global Head of Diversity and Human Rights at Fast Retailing, founded a gender-focused fund at the Sasakawa Foundation, and held senior roles at the World Bank, shaping policies for inclusive growth and development.

Mari holds an MA from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a BA from the University of Tokyo.
